          Schaaf just recently was elevated from vice chair, a position she held since 2017, to the new chair of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s (USOPC) Athletes’ Advisory Council, which is responsible for solving problems and protecting the safety of the country's world class athletes for the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Parapan American Games.

          Schaaf, 40, also serves as an analyst for NBC Olympics TV for skeleton and bobsled races held around the world, and in February was in on a broadcast from her Bremerton residency via Zoom for the Skeleton World Cha
