          Rasiklal Andharia was born on October 13, 1931, in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. His mother was Narmada ben, and his father Shri Govind ji bhai was a station master in the Bhavnagar State Railway.

          Govind ji’s father, Rasiklal’s grandfather Maganlal ji, was a musician in the court of Maharaja Bhavsingh ji of Bhavnagar, a connoisseur of music. Maganlal ji’s presentation of the raga Malhar was so impressive that he was called Maganlal Malhariya!

          Rasiklal received his musical training from his elder brother Shree Babulal Andharia.

          He received his ‘Alankaar’ degree from AKHIL BHARTIYA
